Loving the physical world again
Everyone’s world is changed due to AI no matter what they do. From artists, programmers, teachers, politicians, video producers, writers, wood workers and janitors; everyone is talking about AI. Sometimes my mom ask about it too.
Like everything in our society there is no settled idea about what will happen due to AI. Just like you, I’m also thinking about what will happen. Should I embrace it? use it for everything no matter it is capable or not? Or, should I become an enemy of it and do whatever I can to block it? Here is my current view about the cituation: my life not that changed and there are no bad side effects I see yet. It helped me to focus on what mattered, CREATIVITY. Now it can write the majority of my software projects, I just tell it what to build. I feed it with my TASTE, so it kind of knows me a bit. But still, I tell it what to do, I pay the bills, I talk with humans, I like to talk with humans, I love the experience of talking with other people, it is not something a computer can give to me. If you have close friends, or loved ones, you know the feeling when you tell them something and making an eye contact with them. You create a connection that is more expressive than just the sound. Probably people who works mostly remote will get me. I think achieving that with a machine is not something we can see within our lifetimes.
Thanks to AI, I think the value of relations and real life experiences grew exponencially. Good luck to people who lost their human inside them. I love AI, it helped me to think again, and re-plan my life. I now more focused on stuff that machines are bad at, like maintaining the current system. It is a great TOOL to have. Now I can write an idea, and it can write the code for it within hours. But still it does not get deployed, connected to a domain, marketed and talked with users. Still I need to TALK and UNDERSTAND people. AI helped me to get back to crafting physical tools again. It is more joyful than ever. I now can fix typewriters, build wooden tables, and even get paid to help other people. Before AI there is a shortage for repairmen, and after AI there is more shortage for repairmen. I’m not even talking about craftmanship and high quality work, just mentioning basic work.
We humans loosing our ability to maintain the world we have built, no matter how the tech grows. People are unable to change their light bulbs, which in the first years of light bulbs, people changed their bulbs constantly. Thanks to AI, it is great time to be a human again. This is the main reason you’ll be seeing different type of content I’ll be publishing. We have lots and lots of time before AI can maintain the REAL WORLD. So, enjoy being human, your feelings, skills and creativity. I don’t say stop using computers, trying to say learn how to maintain the real world. And don’t ignore latest tech, use it, understand it. Humans going forward, because we can build amazing tools, just like AI.
